I love pita chips. They quench the craving for crunch without the guilt of a bag of potato chips. I also love these seasoned pita chips because they deliver a touch of extra flavor.
Recipe type: Appealing Appetizers and Breads
Serves: 6 cups
Ingredients
  • 3 pitas
  • [1/4] cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • [1/4] cup zaatar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 450ºF.
  2. Cut pitas into 2-inch pieces, and place in a large bowl.
  3. Drizzle pitas with extra-virgin olive oil, sprinkle with zaatar, and toss to coat.
  4. Spread out pitas on a baking sheet, and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned and crunchy.
  5. Let pita chips cool before removing from the baking sheet. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 month.
Notes
Tasty Tip
If you don't like or don't have zaatar spice, you can instead use a combination of your favorite ground herbs or spices to season your pita chips.
