This coffee is very strong but is actually very healthy for your heart. It has a bold flavor but is smooth on your palate.
Recipe type: More Tempting Treats
Serves: 1 cup
Ingredients
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 TB. sugar
  • 4 TB. ground Turkish coffee
Instructions
  1. In a small pot or Turkish coffee pot over low heat, combine water, sugar, and Turkish coffee. Simmer, stirring, for 3 minutes, allowing foam to form on top of coffee. Be careful not to let coffee to boil over. If coffee seems to rise, remove from heat for 5 seconds and then return to heat and continue cooking.
  2. Let coffee sit for 3 minutes, allowing coffee grounds to settle to the bottom of the pot.
  3. Serve warm in an espresso cup with some foam on top.
Notes
Tasty Tip
Some people like to add ground cardamom to Turkish coffee. If you like that flavor, add [1/8] teaspoon ground cardamom to the coffee pot when you add the ground coffee.
