Juicy lamb meatballs can be great on their own or in a sandwich with tzatziki sauce.

Serves: 15 meatballs
Ingredients
- 3 TB. extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 large white onion, finely chopped
- 2 TB. minced garlic
- 1 lb. ground lamb
- 1 tsp. salt
- [1/2] tsp. ground black pepper
- 2 TB. fresh mint, finely chopped
- 1 tsp. fresh lemon zest
- [1/2] tsp. ground coriander
- [1/4] tsp. ground cumin
- [1/4] tsp. ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
- In a small skillet over medium heat, heat extra-virgin olive oil. Add white onion and garlic, and cook for 5 minutes.
- In a medium bowl, combine cooked onions and garlic, lamb, salt, black pepper, mint, lemon zest, coriander, cumin, and cinnamon, breaking up chunks of lamb with a wooden spoon.
- Form lamb mixture into 15 (2-tablespoon) meatballs. Set meatballs on a baking sheet, and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove meatballs from the oven, transfer them to a serving dish, and serve with tzatziki sauce.

Tasty Tip
Feta goes great with lamb meatballs. Add [1/2] cup crumbled feta to your tzatziki sauce to have with the meatballs.
