Kefta Kabob Recipe

4.5 stars based on 2 reviews
4 kabobs
Prep time: Cook time: Total time:

  • [1/2] large yellow onion, chopped
  • [1/2] cup fresh Italian parsley
  • [3/4] lb. ground beef
  • [1/4] lb. ground lamb
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • [1/2] tsp. ground black pepper
  • [1/2] tsp. ground nutmeg
  • [1/2] tsp. seven spices

Preheat a grill to medium heat.

In a food processor fitted with a chopping blade, pulse yellow onion and Italian parsley for 30 seconds.

In a medium bowl, combine onion-parsley mixture, beef, lamb, salt, black pepper, nutmeg, and seven spices. Form mixture into 4 (6-inch) kabobs.

Grill kabobs, turning them over every 2 minutes, to cook on all sides.

Serve warm with hummus and pita bread.

Tasty Tip
Many people don't like lamb. If you don't like it, you can omit the lamb and use 1 pound ground beef instead. (Although in this recipe, you really can't taste the lamb; it makes the kabob juicier.)
