This simple syrup has wonderful undertones of orange blossoms and rose petals. It's easy to make and great for using as a dessert topping.
Servings: 3 cups
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 TB. fresh lemon juice
  • 2 TB. orange blossom water
  • 2 TB. rose water
  1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine sugar, water, and lemon juice. Simmer for 14 minutes or until syrup starts to thicken and coats the back of a spoon.
  2. Stir in orange blossom water and rose water, and simmer for 1 more minute. Remove from heat, and let cool to room temperature.
  3. Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
Mediterranean Morsel
This syrup is even great served over pancakes or waffles!
