This recipe turns the American burger into a Mediterranean burger! The juicy, seasoned burger is served with a tahini mayonnaise on a fresh mini pita.

Ingredients
1 lb. ground beef
1 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 tsp.seven spices
1[1/2] tsp.salt
1 large yellow onion, finely sliced
1 TB.sumac
[1/2] cupmayonnaise
3 TB.tahini paste
2 TB.balsamic vinegar
[1/2] tsp. ground black pepper
4 (4-in.)pitas
1 medium tomato, sliced
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine beef, [1/2] cup parsley, seven spices, 1 teaspoon salt. Form mixture into 4 patties.
In a medium bowl, combine remaining [1/2] cup parsley, yellow onion, and sumac.
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, tahini paste, remaining [1/2] teaspoon salt, balsamic vinegar, and black pepper.
Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place patties in the skillet, and cook for 5 minutes per side.
To assemble burgers, open each pita into a pocket, and spread both sides with tahini mayonnaise. Add 1 burger patty, some parsley mixture, and a few tomato slices, and serve.

Tasty Tip If you don't have pitas, a good alternative is a toasted English muffin.
