This sesame fudge is a very traditional dessert along the Mediterranean. Often, different types of nuts and chocolate are added to it for flavor.

Serves: 4 cups
Ingredients
  • 1[1/2] cups honey
  • 1[1/2] cups tahini paste
  • 1 cup pistachios, coarsely chopped
Instructions
  1. Pour honey into a saucepan, set over low heat, and bring to 240ºF.
  2. In another saucepan over low heat, bring tahini paste to 120ºF.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together heated honey and tahini paste until smooth. Fold in pistachios.
  4. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray. Pour tahini mixture into the loaf pan, and refrigerate for 2 days to set.
  5. Cut halva into bite-size pieces, and serve.
Notes
Tasty Tip
If you don't like pistachios, you can replace them with any other nut you like. Or for a more indulgent dessert, replace the pistachios with chocolate chips.
